The Printing Technology Association of China
Founded in 1980, the Printing Technology Association of China (PTAC) is a professional and non-profit social organization composed of printing science and technology workers, printing workers, printing enterprises and institutions and printing-related units in China. It is the foundation member and directorship unit of World Printing & Communication Forum and the initiator of the Forum of Asian Graphic Arts Technology. It has successfully hosted the 7th World Printing Congress, the 4th and 9th Forum of Asian Graphic Arts Technology (FAGAT), and is one of the highly renowned social organizations in the printing industry home and abroad. The branch associations and committees subordinating to PTAC include: China Screenprinting &Graphic Imaging Association (CSGIA), Commercial Notes Printing Association, Gravure Printing Association, Academic Committee, Education & Science Popularization Committee, Special Committee for Enterprises Management, Special Committee for Electronics & Network Technology, Special Committee for Flexo Printing Technology, Special Committee for Specialty Printing Technology, Printing History Research Committee, and Editors' Committee for China Printing and China Printing Almanac.
China Academy of Printing Technology
China Academy of Printing Technology (CAPT) founded in 1956 and formerly directly affiliated to the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), is the largest comprehensive printing technology research institution in China and is also a modernized enterprise with high and new-tech products as its core business, integrating science, industry, trade, publishing and information technology. In 2002, jointly approved in written reply by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Ministry of Finance (MOF) and General Office of Committee of General Government Bodies Administration (CCGBA), CAPT was officially transformed into a technological enterprise and wholly incorporated into China Printing Corporation (CPC) established under the written approval by the State Council. As the subsidiary and technological R&D center of China Printing Corporation (CPC), CAPT has become the backbone force of CPC for production operation and technological advancement.
