The new Tecnau Libra 800 B2 system complements digital presses in the upstream area and other postpress downstream processing systems. It cuts the product blocks out of the sheets, performs the perfect binding, including the envelope feeder, and makes the final trimming with a three-knife automaton. After cooling, the books and magazines are ready for shipment. In addition to standard modules of the Libra 800, such as the softcover binding unit and the variable three-knife automat, the system has a number of innovations. The most important is the dynamic book block cutting and collecting system that can process paper sheets in sizes up to 50 x 70 centimeters.
